My Weight Loss Journey

Over the years my weight has increased to a height of 249lbs! I found that I was not eating much but I was still putting on weight. But I must admit, many times my husband and I would eat a heavy dinner before retiring to bed for the night. I am sure that this habit was the main factor in my weight gain.

In March 2010, I saw the 6 Week Body Make Over program and Food Lovers program and said to myself that I had to do something and finally decided to choose 6 Week Body Make Over because they featured a lady that was bacisally obese. So I said if SHE can do it, then I can!!! So I went ahead and purchased the program. One great thing that they did was making it more easily accesible whereby the program can be paid for in six instalments. So I had no excuse now!

My mother suffers from high blood pressure and at 48 years old, I really need to get serious about my health especially if I am admant about not taking too many pills.

My 6 Week Body Makeover package was delivered in about six weeks, I called my courier every week, I was so anxious. I thought that it would never arrive. The day my courier called me and told me that they had my package, I drove into town during my lunch hour, it was a 25 minute drive one way. I started the program the very next day.

I go to the grocery now and I am amazed at the things I now buy. I spend most of my time in the fresh fruit and vegetables section now. Ground Provisions are part of my grocery list on a regular basis now.

Don't get me wrong and think there have not been any temptations for me, there have but I have been recently blessed with a very strong resistance level. Something I have NEVER experienced before. On about three occassions, food was given to me and I gave it away because I knew that it was prepared with either, oil, sugar or salt.

HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
What kind of healthy eating habits should I be adopting?
Aim for three main meals a day. Most people need to eat more starchy foods and more fruit and vegetables, as well as reducing their fat intake, drinking less alcohol and eating less salt and sugar.
