I had a very stong temptation to eat a slice of white bread. It was just like in the movies, it was as if the bread was saying to me, "come and eat me"! Wow, I had to apply alot of will power to resist the piece of bread. I kept saying that it was only one slice but I knew that if I gave in, I would have allowed myself to be tempted tomorrow and the day after etc.

Boogie board aka Body board

I have recently started taking a walk during my lunch hour. I am blessed with the opportunity to have a job where the surroundings allows me to take a nice peaceful, quite walk. Well one day as I was going for one of my walks, I saw this lady taking a swim, she was using what looked like a Boogie Board aka Body Board and she was kicking her legs to propel her forward. Well since I am trying to stick to an exercise routine, I decided to make an extra effort and go for a swim. My idea was to borrow a Boogie Board from my work place.

My husband and I went this evening, neither of us ever used one of these boards before. My husband figured how to use them right way. But for some strange reason, I was following exactly what he was doing but I was not moving anywhere. It was so funny, we both had a bucket of laughs. And of course I had a good work out - I really tried hard to get some movement with the board but I have not given up. Next time!

I can't believe it!!! My body is rejecting processed food!! On Thursday June 3, 2010 I had one of my favorite sandwichs - Mahi Mahi sandwich. I was out for most of the day and was too tired to go home and cook so I purchased this sandwich. Within two hours, I felt a sharp pain in my stomach - we call it a gripe - and I had to go to the toilet. I thought that maybe something in the sandwich was bad.

Well today my colleague made me one of her special dishes called Cate Muffin. It consisted of English Muffin, patties, cheese, tomatoes and egg sunny side up. It was great!!! About three hours later I got the gripe again so I am sure that my body is rejecting processed food!!! Wow, who would have believed this!!!!

When I first started this program I was very concerned about being constipated because I use to put a teaspoon of brown sugar in my tea every morning and I was sure that it was the brown sugar that caused my early morning regular bowel movement. I am happy to report that it is not an issue at all. I put a banana or pineapple in my oatmeal every morning and my bowel movement is regular.

I am excited about this one - a few days ago I was in my bathroom and I sat down and cut my toe nails on both my feet. It was only when I was done that I realized that I completed the task without any problems. Previously, I could barely complete the task because half way through, I would feel as if I was stiffling and out of breath. I also had problems tying the laces of my sneakers. So I put it to the test and I did it easily!!

Today I unbuttoned and unzipped my skirt and as I walked around the house for a few minutes, it eventually fell to my feet. Wow!!!

I purchased a blouse to wear on my trip to St. Vincent at the end of the month and I purchase a size 1x, I also got a lovely dress for the wedding we have to attend and the size was also 2X. This great for me because for a blouse I would have to get a size 3X and the dress would have been another story, I might not have gotten a dress. Some one asked why I purchased a cream colored dress, and my response was as it is difficult for me to get my dress size so I purchase the dress that fit me regardless of the color. I have been have a hard time with my temptations for M and Ms. You see we have they for sale for our guest at the office and it is easily accessable so sometimes I would walk by the area where the M and Ms are located and get tempted. I notice that these temptations mostly occur in the afternoons. I feel very guilty and disappointment with myself that I am being so weak.

I had to say a serious pray asking for the strength to resist this temptation because my weight loss does not seem to progress. I am really trying hard and I want to lose some more weight. And another thing, when I do give in to these M and Ms temptations, I am not satisfied with one pack, I would eat two packs! Maybe I should suggest to my boss that we should have more healthy snacks available for our guests.

I had a great day today, guilt free. My meals were great, I sauteed some vegetables with shrimp and served with some dumplings. I ate small portions, tasted great!! I actually was angry with the M and Ms today, maybe that will be a good attitude to maintain to keep away from them. When I told my daughter that I was angry at the M and Ms she a good laugh!
