The Crock Pot

I'm 85 and in my prime
And I don't owe a single dime
But I don't like to cook anymore
It's too much work since 84

So now I look to my old friend
Who helps me to the very end
It's my old trusty crock pot here
Who makes my cooking easier.

First I grab a hunk of meat
And throw it in the pot to heat
Add a carrot and an onion good
Potatoes make it healthy food.

Open mushroom soup and add
And cover up to cook
For several hours we will wait
There's lots of time to read a book.

When you get old, too tired to cook
Just drag out that old crock pot
No one will know you shirk
And just look what you've got.

So I'm 85 and in my prime
My old crock pot will shine.
It only takes a minute or two
To throw in things for a healthy stew
